Kendrick is a sneaky one. Dude released his album early with no word. Then he’s popping out of trucks and singing in the street. Look behind you. He’s probably about to tap you on the shoulder.
Kendrick Lamar performed earlier this week in Hollywood as part of a Reebok sponsored run. He posted a cryptic tweet, which asked fans to visit 8950 Sunset Blvd at 9pm. He also asked fans to meet him at 8466 Melrose Ave at 9:30pm. The tweet was quickly greeted with thousands of re-tweets and favorites, and within a very short space of time a crowd gathered on the West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip.
Fans were greeted by police riding motorcycles and plenty of people who were wearing TDE shirts. Shortly after this, an 18 wheeled truck pulled up with musicians riding the flat bed. Kendrick Lamar came on with a full live band and he started to play “Money Trees”. He then went on to play more tunes from m.A.A.d city and Good Kid. The truck had GetPumped in conjunction with the Reebok GetPumped campaign.
