In just under a few days, all those beautiful souls yearning for a galaxy far away can rejoice like the Yub Nub jubilee of Endor in 4 ABY, as the annual Star Wars Celebration kicks off April 16th in Anaheim.
With such an enormous year ahead for our galaxy far away, we’ve compiled a must-see list of all goings-on at the event, (and stolen some extra plans for the journey to The Force Awakens)…
STAR WARS CELEBRATION 2015: ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER, APRIL 16-19
The days leading up to the Celebration are crammed with arrivals, ticketing, set-ups and layouts. As the galaxy gathers, late Wednesday is dedicated to preview night for all vendors and exhibitors. But don’t stay out at the cantina too long because the goods start coming in early Thursday morning…
THURS. 4/16 10AM-11AM – JJ ABRAMS & KATHLEEN KENNEDY LIVE SIMULCAST
Many Bothans died to bring us this information…
But the entire Celebration will be at a standstill when The Force Awakens Writer/Director/Producer JJ Abrams and Producer Kathleen Kennedy take the stage to kick-off the event. Rumor has it that the pair will be premiering not only the first poster for the new movie but THE NEXT TEASER TRAILER TO BOOT!! May the Force be with us all…
THURS. 4/16 11AM-12PM – YOUNGLING LIGHTSABER TRAINING
For any Force-sensitives celebrating with the little ones, head on over to the Family Room for some exclusive Jedi training. (For any of the adults looking to get in on the fun, official Jedi Training is from 4:30-5PM in Hall B).
THURS. 4/16 11AM-8PM – AUTOGRAPH HALL
Be sure to make your way to Hall C of the Experience Exhibit to get a little face time with your favorite cast and crew members.
FRI. 4/17 10:30-11:30AM – STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT – AN INTERGALACTIC DEBUT
One of the most hotly anticipated video games in EA history, Battlefront is expected to deliver in big ways, and at Friday’s debut event, the audience will see footage, gameplay and have a test run at the fight themselves.
FRI. 4/17 10AM-6PM – R2D2 BUILDER’S DISPLAY & DROID BUILDER’S ROOM
These are the droids you’re looking for, as builder’s from all around the world gather to show off their fully operational and fully rad creations.
FRI. 4/17 11:30AM-12:30PM – RALPH MCQUARRIE: STAR WARS ART
Lucasfilm and Abrams editors and artists gather on the Behind-the-Scenes stage to discuss seminal Star Wars artist and mind behind the look of the galaxy Ralph McQuarrie. A must-see for anyone with midichlorians coursing through their veins.
FRI. 4/17 12-2PM STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS “BAD BATCH” SCREENING & Q&A
The Clone Wars has been one of the torchbearers in great content coming from the new era of Star Wars, and Supervising Director Dave Filoni will be on hand to air this never-before-seen story arc and join the audience for a post-screening discussion.
FRI. 4/17 1:30-2:30PM – STAR WARS MINUTE
Podcasters Pete the Retailer and Alex Robinson breakdown every film in the Star Wars saga minute-by-minute. In order. Each episode is dedicated to one minute of screentime.

The Lucasfilm Creative team will discuss the seemingly insurmountable feat of connecting all official Star Wars tales together, and the connected tree of life moving forward.

Picking up right where The Clone Wars left off, Rebels is the new animated series bridging the gap between the prequel trilogy and A New Hope. Catch a glimpse at what’s to come in the new season with cast and crew.
SAT. 4/18 1-2PM – STAR WARS COMES HOME TO MARVEL
Marvel Comics discuss the future of Star Wars comics and reveal the upcoming slate of officially canonized stories hitting shops in the coming months.
SUN. 4/19 11AM-12PM – CONVERSATIONS W/ GARETH EDWARDS & JOSH TRANK
The two newest additions to the Lucasfilm Creative team will be joining other execs and producers on the Celebration stage to discuss their upcoming standalone films Star Wars: Rogue One and the as-yet unnamed and details-unknown second film slated for release the year after.
