SXSW is premiering a documentary entitled “Rolling Papers” at this year’s fest. The film follows various cannabis journalists and editors from the Denver Post, providing complete coverage of the first year of marijuana sales in the state. SXSW released the very first clip today at Deadline Hollywood. The clip showed a scene between Denver Post editor Greg Moore and editor Ricardo Baca, two central players in the feature.

Earlier last year, the production released a different clip as part of a successful Kickstarter campaign raising over $50,000. The new clip–a different one– will make its public debut in Austin, Colorado next month.

Marijuana advocates and other fans are very interested to see how this documentary will portray the legalization of marijuana in the state. If successful, it could lead to more awareness-boosting content being produced on the subject for other states and the public at large.

“Rolling Papers” will show three times at this year’s SXSW: premiering Sunday, March 15th at 9:30 PM in the Vimeo Theater, and following with screenings on March 17th  at 7:30 PM at the Alamo Lamar B and March 21st at 2:15 PM at the Stateside Theatre.
